What does it feel like to hold a book that you wrote in your hands?

Feel the weight as you heft it. Know that this isn’t just any book. It’s one that YOU WROTE.

55 months of work – writing, editing, formatting, choosing cover art and style, registering copyrights, requesting trademark permissions, buying ISBN’s…countless hours invested, and now I can finally see the payoff.

I didn’t talk much about Sempiternus while I was writing it – not to friends, family, or co-workers. Oh, I would mention it from time to time, in passing – but writing a novel, especially one that turned out as lengthy as Sempiternus, is a daunting task. There were times when I wasn’t sure if I would finish it or not. But I did finish – and now, I find myself talking about little else!

For those reading this – if you’ve been thinking about writing a novel, but haven’t started yet, do it! Painting a picture with words and making a world that exists only in your head come alive is incredibly rewarding. And, once you do, and you publish your work, contact me and tell me about the feeling that YOU get from holding your book in your hands.

I’m looking forward to hearing your experiences!
